DID YOU KNOW…?
-
The community of Arnell Creek was planned by a group of lawyers from Wilmington, DE.
-
The logo on the entrance sign to Arnell Creek is the same design used in early marketing materials for the community (see above).
-
The Arnell Creek community was laid out to provide 140 lots for single-family residences.
-
Arnell Creek (the community) was named after Arnell Creek (the creek). The creek rises on the Munchy Branch divide at Breezewood, then flows south-southeast to meet Love Creek at Robinson Landing. The creek lies along the western border of the community.
-
Unlike most other communities in the area, the roads in Arnell Creek are state-owned and state-maintained.
-
The house numbers in Arnell Creek do not have five digits because 100% of the residents voted to reject the 9-1-1 numbering system. (See what can happen when we all work together?)
-
The Annual Meeting of the Arnell Creek Homeowners Association, open to all residents of the community, is typically held in May.
-
The fiscal year for the Arnell Creek Homeowners Association runs from June 1 to May 31.
-
For several years, several gentlemen who lived in the southern part of our community went out for lunch together on a regular basis. They called themselves the ROMEOs: “Really Old Men Eating Out”!
