Local, Public & Hotel Transporttion

  • DART Beach Bus: The DART First State system runs multiple seasonal routes (including the 201 Red Line and 203 Orange Line) connecting the Rehoboth Park & Ride on Shuttle Road to the boardwalk, local Tanger Outlets, Dewey Beach, and Lewes. Fares start at $2 per trip.

  • The Jolly Trolley: This open-air, fixed-route shuttle runs seasonally between the Jolly Trolley Shuttle  stop in Rehoboth Beach to Dewey Beach from late May through Labor Day. 

  • Hotel Shuttles: Some local accommodations provide complimentary open-air beach shuttles for their guests. Check with your hotel for specific shuttle information.

  • UBER, Lyft & Local Taxi Service: Yep, we've got those too !!

By Train, Car, Ferry or Plane

  • AMTRAK: Located in downtown Wilmington, Amtrak can connect visitors from many nationwide Amtrak stations to Wilmington Delaware which is about 90 min from Downtown Rehoboth beach. From Wilmington, local residents can either meet their visiting guests to travel to Rehoboth Beach, or as an alternative, there is a shuttle service that connects the Wilmington Amtrak Station to the Transit Center in Lewis, Delaware.

  • By Car: The expansive I-95 Interstate connects to Rte 1 in New Castle (Wilminton Area). Take Rte. 1 South about 90 miles to Rehoboth Beach.

  • By Ferry: If traveling south from New Jersey, New York or New England, an alternative to the Rte .95 interstate is the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey south to Cape May for a scenic ferry trip to Lewes on the Cape May-Lewis Ferry.

  • ​By Plane: There are several Regional, National & International Airports helping to connect the world to Southern Delaware.

    • Salisbury Regional Airport - Convenient but very limited service​

    • Wilmington Regional Airport - Convenient but very limited service

    • Philadelphia International Airport - Approximately a 2 hour drive from Rehoboth Beach, it offers many national and international connecting options.

    • BWI International Airport - Approximately a 2 1/2 hour drive from Rehoboth Beach, it offers many national and international connecting options.
